Heart Garland

This morning I whipped this heart garland inspired by a picture on Pinterest.

Here's the picture I found:

There is a tutorial to make some like these Here.

I made my each heart with a combination of three heart sizes and didn't want the middle piece of the heart to go all the way down. I also did two different heart sizes for the garland instead of doing all of them the same size.

Here's how they turned out:

To begin, I cut three different size strips of paper, about an inch thick.

Next, to make a large heart, stack the strips so you have a small one, a medium one, two large ones, a medium one, then another small one. Make sure you line up the bottom of each strip.

Staple the strips together at the very bottom where they all line up. Begin making the heart by bending the outside pieces down and match up those ends. When all three of the same size strips are matched up, staple them together (I do this up maybe two inches then cut off the extra on the bottom).

To make the smaller size heart you only need three strips of paper (one of each size). Stack the strips with large on bottom, small on top. Stagger the strips (none of the ends will match up).

Next, fold the strips in the middle, the small one being on the outside of the stack. Match up each end of the large strip with one another.

Staple as close to the fold as possible.

Start folding down each strip and matching up the ends (just like on the large heart). Staple, Trim.

And there ya have it, DIY heart garland.
